Embracing Synchronisity

The fact that the Universe provides us with 'coincidences' is something I realized in the past few years. Actually, it's one of the major reasons I now believe in a higher power/creator/something else. Still, synchronisitic events still amaze me.

I was raised Atheist, or actually allowed the freedom to believe whatever, because I now realize my parents are quite spiritual (or it's something they developed in later years). I pursued education in science, where there was a explanation for everything, it could be observed or measured. I didn't believe in a higher power, because it could not be observed or measured...well I was wrong. It was just something that I could not see.

Every once in awhile (or when I'm lucky, every day), I experience these special coincidences. Last week, I visited a crystal shop in downtown Toronto, wishing it would be nice if I had a piece of polished kyanite. A few days later, I was at Odyssey Books in Pickering doing Angel readings, cruising the crystal section (which is a must do for me each time I'm there), and right there is polished kyanite! Thank you Universe, you provide what I need.

Today, I went to see an astrologer because I never had an astrology report done for me. I figured this was a good idea since I know I'm affected by planetary activity. Her wonderful cat, Marley sat beside me for awhile, which I later found out was named after Bob Marley. In the reading, she told me not to be affected by the judgements of others, after all their opinions are their truths. How appropriate when I am dealing with stepping into my personal power. I left the appointment processing so much information and remembered one of my favourite songs by Bob Marley "Judge Not". How wonderful! Bob's music always connects with me during very important times. Thank you Universe, you counsel me when I need.

Now this higher power can be observed by me, and the frequency or measureable affect it has on me can be measured. These synchronistic events are reminders to me that I am connected to the Universe or 'something else'. And for them, I am grateful, because really, I am never alone.
